Terms of Service

By buying or using a Chunk Hosting ("we", "us") service, you ("you", "the customer") agree to these terms.

1. The service

We provide Minecraft server hosting: Java Edition servers, and Java servers that Bedrock Edition players can also join (crossplay). Plan resources (RAM, storage, CPU cores and backup slots) are listed on our Pricing page.

2. Payment and billing

• Plans are billed monthly in advance.
• Your invoice is issued 7 days before it is due, with a reminder 3 days before.
• If an invoice is not paid, your server is suspended 2 days after the due date (it goes offline and players can't join) and deleted 5 days after the due date. Download a backup if you think you may fall behind.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

3. Refunds

Refunds available within 48 hours of your first purchase. After that, payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future billing.

4. Minecraft EULA

By ordering a Minecraft server you agree to Mojang's Minecraft End User License Agreement, which we accept on your behalf when your server is created. You may not sell in-game advantages or otherwise breach that agreement on your server.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

• Break any law, or host illegal or infringing content
• Attack, scan or disrupt other networks or servers (including DDoS)
• Mine cryptocurrency or run non-Minecraft workloads
• Break Mojang/Microsoft's Minecraft End User License Agreement and Usage Guidelines
• Harass other people or abuse our staff

We may suspend or end service for breaking these rules, and serious abuse is not eligible for a refund.

6. Your data

Every plan includes backup slots you can create, restore and download from your dashboard. We also copy each world nightly to a second machine, which protects against one machine failing; both machines are in the same building, so it is not an off-site copy. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important, and we aren't liable for lost data.

7. Uptime

We work hard to keep servers online but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Maintenance and unexpected outages can happen.

8. Age

You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last month.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we'll post them here and let active customers know.
